national certified suppliers, whose label guarantees
its place of origin, ensuring an informed purchase.
Or even Lidlʼs Fruits and Vegetables,
guaranteed fresh through Lidlʼs exclusive distribution
system as well as the daily replenishment in every
store.
And on top of that, consumers can also be
surprised by Lidlʼs theme weeks, the weekly
Non-Food campaigns and Lidlʼs more than
100 exclusive brands.
Based on these and other consumer daily
discoveries, Lidl launched the campaign: “Every
day there are products to discover at Lidl.”
In March, Lidl launched the contest
“In March, they will only talk about Lidl”,
in which €10,000 were awarded to consumers on
a daily basis plus €50,000 in a final draw.
Aligned with Lidlʼs sustainability strategy, the
retailer announced in 2019 its commitment to
reduce plastic consumption by 20% until 2025,
having ended the sale of disposable plastics and
plastic bags by the end of the year.
Within the scope of environmental awareness,
Lidl ran the project TransforMAR at Portuguese
beaches, raising awareness for plastic recycling.
With the Lidl Stars project, Lidl supported 10 young
athletes from different sports, who aspire to achieve
great national and international competitions.
As a reflex of the brandʼs investment in Portugal, Lidl
was recognized by the Portuguese as being “The
best store of Portugal”.
