Mombasa Maize Millers is a Superbrand.
Mombasa Maize Millers are the largest millers of maize and wheat in Kenya, producing both maize and wheat flour under the Ndovu, Taifa, Swan, Cosmo, Bahari, Shibe and Tima brands.
Commanding more than 38% of the market in wheat flour, and more than 27% of the market for maize meal, the company has gained a massive share in a highly competitive industry with a continuing influx of new competitors. The company ensures its brands are strategically positioned by catering to all demographics and segments.
Founded in 1978 by the Ali Brothers, Mombasa Maize Millers started with a single maize mill in Mombasa, and today also has mills in Nairobi, Nakuru, Kisumu and Kitale. As a family-owned business, the company has always had a special edge, where the next generation of the Ali family extends itself to all the people who make the brand what it is today.

The company’s wheat flour products include All-Purpose Home Baking Flour (also known as

Among the many animal feeds offered are Faida Dairy Feeds, Faida Feeds High Yield, Faida Feeds Layers Mash and Faida Kienyeji Mash. The company’s vast portfolio also includes Halisi cooking oil, Sun Salt and Malindi Salt, and Patco confectioneries.
To promote their products, the company offers seasonal promotions in-store, where they reward the consumer with reduced price offers and give aways, and with outdoor promotional campaigns, including road shows, market stomps and product demos.
Mombasa Maize Millers has received recognition and certification from numerous sources, including the Kenya Bureau of Halal Certification. Currently, plans are underway to qualify for their ISO 9001 certification.
