Betika’s Key Milestones Over the Past Six Years:

 

2016– Registered business name as Shop and Deliver Limited. Betika platform is officially launched inclusive of its Sportsbook (Pre-Match) product offering. Registered a USSD code, assessed and launched it. Had three employees.

 

2017– First sponsorship deal with Sofapaka and launches Betika App in May and virtual sports games launched in July.

 

2018– Becomes Kenyas online preferred market leader in July 2018. Launches USSD in Live Betting in October and signs on Ronaldinho Gaucho as Brand Ambassador.

 

2019– Sponsored the National Super League and renames it to Betika National Super League. Launches the Betika Na Community (BNC) Initiative. Launches Betika 100 million Grand Jackpot (GJP) in August and the KES15 Million midweek Jackpot (MJP) in September.

 

2020– Betika App experience upgraded to support faster downloads and navigation. Browsing in dark mode and light modes enabled. Betika sponsors Harambee Stars vs Comoros match in November.

 

2021– Betika spreads its wings to become a Pan African Brand with presence in these markets: DRC, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria. Betika sponsors 4 Kenyan teams to participate in the World Rally Championship and makes the Championship one of the best events in Kenya in 2021. Betika is voted as one of the ten best brands in Kenya to attain Superbrands status. Has over seven hundred employees.
